Day 18

Two Dips

As promised yesterday here are two very easy dip recipes to go with the Cheese and Paprika Triangles from yesterday.

Hot Cheese Dip

Ingredients

2 tbsps of vegetable oil
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 clove garlic (crushed)
1 tin chopped tomatoes
225g Cheddar cheese (grated)
140 ml of single cream
Pinch of chilli powder
Seasoning

Method

1. Heat the vegetable oil and fry the onion and garlic until soft.

2. Drain the tomatoes of juice and add drained tomatoes to saucepan. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 3-5 minutes.

3. Add the grated cheese and stir until melted.

4. Remove saucepan from heat and add cream, chilli powder and seasoning.

5. Turn into a warmed dish and serve at once.



Blue Cheese and Chive Dip

Ingredients

200g tub of fromage frais
115g of blue cheese (crumbled)
2 tbsp of chopped fresh chives
Seasoning

Method

1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. 

2. Transfer into serving dish, cover and refrigerate until needed.
