Paprika and Cheese Triangles (Makes about 20)
Dips. Who doesn't love them? I've made these before and they have been popular. Tomorrow I'll post a dip recipe to go with them.
Ingredients
175g plain white flour
1tsp paprika
75g butter
30g of gruyere cheese (grated)
1 egg yolk
1 egg
Method
1. Mix the flour and paprika. Rub in the butter and then mix in the cheese.
2. Bind together with the egg yolk to form a soft dough. Roll to about 5mm thick. Cut into 4cm strips. Brush with beaten egg and cut into triangles.
3. Place on a baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper. Bake for 10 minutes at 200C.
4. Leave to cool on wire rack.
